Kusama is one of the greatest artists in the world, and we are incredibly proud to be able to present a large-scale artwork by her at this year's season opening, says Director of Kistefos Egil Eide.
A site-specific artwork
The process of realizing a site-specific artwork by Kusama was started back in 2012, and the sculpture that is unveiled on May 26th is a result of repeated visits to Kistefos.
The sculpture is called Shine of Life and is inspired by the nature, water and industry at Kistefos, Eide explains.
Big and wet
Unfortunately, details about the work cannot be disclosed before the unveiling. However, we can promise that it will be both big and wet!
